Pirates and the Block

We had a busy social calendar this last weekend. We spent most of Saturday at a Pirate themed birthday party in Pedro. Our friends throwing it went all out with authentic props, performers, great food and a treasure hunt for the kids. Ivy wore herself out running around the backyard chasing their pets, a mechanical parrot, a giant iguana and a desert tortoise. We even got her to pose with Scott's eyepatch.
On Sunday, we had breakfast in Seal Beach, swam in the ocean and then spent the rest of the afternoon at a block party where Scott jammed with the "Back Home" band. (He's also playing with them this Thursday night at The Cave night club.) Ivy passed out at about 6:00pm that night which is unbelievably early for her!
