New Year Plus 2009

Happy New Year 2009!
On New Year's Day we celebrated with our annual Cabrillo Beach Polar Bear Swim. Ivy still doesn't jump into the ocean, but she does enjoy the free hot chocolate and cupcakes!

Here we all are, still wet from the cold ocean water. Thankfully our good friend Yvette always brings the thermos full of hot coffee to enjoy afterward.

Inauguration Day! We had an impromptu party at our house with Dianne. Ivy thought we were celebrating Obama's Birthday. Everytime she sees an American Flag displayed at someones house she asks, "Is that where Obama lives?".

Ivy sure is starting to love to dress-up now, but it must be pink or purple only! Last week she only wanted to wear dresses. "So I can look like a beautiful princess!" I think we need to go shopping for a few more!

On a sad note, we lost our cat Motorhead. He was probably 17 years old. I guess he just couldn't bear to live life since Kiwi passed. We love you and miss you Motor! Our house is so quiet now.
