Yipes! Okay, okay, so I haven't blogged in a while. I think I can keep up now. I do have a great excuse though. First of all, my old computer kept crashing whenever I tried to download pictures or go online. We were thinking of getting a new computer, saving some money for the purchase and such when suddenly, . . . we were burglarized and they took my computer, some cameras, an ipod and some vintage costume jewelry. Pretty scary and yes, the feeling of violation knowing that someone was in your house unwelcome is not good. They came in our cat/doggie door that we should have fixed a long time ago. The good news from all of this is that we had renter's insurance that covered our losses and I was able to get a brand new computer that actually works even better than my last one!! The jokes on the burglars who got a bum computer and some broken cameras that we had laying around for Ivy to play with. (The insurance company didn't care that they weren't working!)

We have a pretty good garden growing this summer with a bumper crop of Zucchini growing overnight bigger than Ivy!

For some reason our cucumbers are twisting. I think it looks like a green pile of pooh! Could it be an imbalance of ph in the soil?

Dean and Sharon stopped by to visit twice around their cruise to Mexico. Ivy sure loved seeing them!!!! Especially when uncle Dean held her up to the ceiling to walk on it and she hasn't forgotten the "fist-bump, with a blast" hand shake that he taught her.

Warm afternoons are spent in our luxurious pool. This is a rare shot of Ivy actually in a bathing suit. She most often sheds the suit and runs around naked.

Scott, aka Seatbelt, has been playing quite a bit lately with a couple of different bands. Here he is at the Blue Cafe with their new stand-up bass player. Yeah!
Seatbelt and the Pecking Order have a gig coming up at the
Taste of San Pedro on August 3rd. He's also playing this weekend with his other band, Rumbleseat, at an event being filmed by Kcet's own Huell Houser. As Ivy said last week all on her own, "You're rock-n-roll dad!"

Ivy and Scott hanging out on the 4th of July. I had to go to work that night. (I've really had to work a lot lately, but am taking some vacation time soon!) I heard they had fun watching the fireworks at our friends Dirk and Jen's house. Ivy told me over the phone that night that the fireworks were too loud and she had to try to 'close' her ears.
More soon, I promise!
