Teething? Nooooo!!!!

Poor Ivy has had a really ruff time these past couple of days, and nights. She has had some kind of bug and/or is also teething we think. She may even have an ear infection, but a call to our pediatrician today assured us that even if she did, it is best not to treat with antibiotics nowadays. (At least I agree with him on that.) None the less, Ivy feeling bad and not sleeping means that none of us get any sleep and all of our nerves are fried. Today was about the worst that it has been for a long time. The above picture is about how Ivy acted 80% of the day. She was easily frustrated, cried uncontrollable for no apparent reason, didn't want to eat much, and refused naps. She has also developed a fondness to the word "NO" this week. To cope, we all made a trip to Trader Joes for supplies of ice cream, three kinds of cookies, and a few bottles of wine. The good news, Ivy went to sleep fairly easy tonight. I just hope that she sleeps through the night and is a new person tomorrow. We welcome any advise from our more experienced readers. Did you all go through episodes of this?????

Poor baby :-( I hate to see Ivy in so much discomfort.
I think we got lucky with Clare. She didn't seem to cry much when she was teething. She's definitely taking the "Terrible Two's" bull by the horns though!
Poor little Ivy...you are on the right track though. Give her a half bottle of a fruity Zinfandel and she'll sleep through the night. Then you and Scott can finish the Ice Cream and cookies...-Uncle Dean
As my wise mother-in-law once advised me, when Claira was inconsolable:
"Did you try rocking her to sleep?"
(me, exasperated): "Of course!"
(her, calmly): "Well...try a bigger rock!!"
Glad to hear she's feeling better now!
..which begins to explain why I am the way I am!!! Greg
