The Happiest Place in Anaheim!

We finally took Ivy to Disneyland this last weekend. We used some of my free passes that I had saved from when I worked there years ago. We figured it was worth a try to see if Ivy was up to it. It turned out to be a really great time for all of us. This first picture was taken right at the train station on Main St. There was a little marching band with Mickey Conducting. When Ivy saw him, she got excited and started saying "Mic-Mouse!" I got emotional and teared up a little. Here we were, with Ivy at Disneyland for her first time! I just remembered how excited I would get as a kid when we used to visit.

I couldn't believe how many rides we were able to take her on. We visited the Tiki Room, Pirates (Ivy especially liked the newly added Jonny Depp figures!), The Jungle cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and It's a Small World. There were a lot more we could have gone on too. Next time.

One of the best parts of the day was when Ivy crashed out for a nap in her stroller late in the afternoon. We decided to take the opportunity to have a nice dinner at the Winery Restaurant over in California Adventure. Scott and I pretended for about an hour that we were on a date by ourselves, enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.

Here's Ivy waiting in line for Small World. Getting her to wait was the hardest part of the day. She did better than I thought she would though. We just made sure to distract her with lots of people watching and snacks, snacks, snacks!
