18 Months
Hooray! Ivy turned 1 1/2 years old this last Wednesday. This is a picture of her celebrating. She is really a happy kid and we hardley get frustrated because she is able to communicate with us so well. She knows probably over a hundred words by now and uses 2 to 3 word sentences all of the time. She's also starting to recognize the colors of objects correctly. (For the last six months, everything was "blue". ) She can sing about 3/4 of the Alphabet song and can almost count to ten. She is working on counting to ten in Spanish now. Scott got her to sing some of Jingle Bells the other night at bedtime. (Yes, it's still her favorite song to fall asleep to.) She loves playing tea party lately and having cookie time after dinner, especially with daddy. She's getting along really well at her daycare, even calling out her care givers name in the middle of the night one time. (Oh no! Does she like them better than us!)
A friend of mine from work brought her 18 month old over to our house this week for a play date. His name is Adam West (Yes, just like Batman). They had a great time together. This picture is them giving each other a hug. Ivy's first love!
We also visited the Petersen Auto Museum again last Sunday. They have a great exhibit on Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. Ivy loved running around checking out all of the cars and "Rat Fink". She's also obsessed lately with pockets. She just loves to walk around with her hands in her pockets and puts coins or little things in them.
