Ivy, Scott and I flew out to Denver to visit with Debra and her family this weekend. Ivy did O.K. on the flight out. Here she is with J.B. actually sitting in her seat, which only lasted for about 5 seconds of course. This is her version of "smiling" when we take her photo. She thinks that it means open your mouth as big as you can. On the flight back, she wasn't as cooperative, especially on the landing when I had to force her to stay on my lap as she screamed and squirmed the whole time. Only one bitter older lady gave us a disapproving glance as we departed the plane. (I've noticed that it seems like women are always more openly disapproving of misbehaving kids. Why is this I wonder?! I'll keep my theories to myself.)

Ivy and her cousin Clare actually got along pretty well. Of course there were plenty of the expected fights over toys and power struggles, but all in all they really enjoyed each other for the long weekend. We all look forward to them becoming good, close friends eventually.

We hung out around the house most of the time except one day when we visited the Denver Children's Museum. They had a great Blue Man Group exhibit and other really fun play areas for all different age groups.

After the museum visit, Uncle Chris took us out for ice cream at a place called "Liks". I asked Ivy what flavor she wanted and her reply was "red", so we ordered a yummy cherry cheese cake scoop for her. Scott indulged in one of their other specialty flavors, Jack Daniel's chocolate chip.

The biggest reason for our trip was to meet Ivy's new little baby cousin, Drew. Ivy just loved looking at him and kept trying to kiss him when he was in his swing. She also was really concerned whenever he would start to cry, which really wasn't very often. (Ivy cried more!) He's a really sweet baby......so far!!!!! congratulations again Bailey's!
