Three Eventful Weeks
The end of March and Easter weekend is often a very busy time for us and I'm a little behind in my blog. I'll try to keep things short and catch everyone up.
After celebrating family and friend's birthdays in March, I had my own spur-of-the-moment party. Danny, Allard, and Dianne joined us for home-made pizzas and cake. Thanks mostly to Allard and Danny for prepping and cooking up the pies, everything was delicious and we all had a great time. The next night, Auntie Allison was gracious enough to babysit Ivy so Scott and I could go out to a nice restaurant. Thanks Allison!
The next weekend Scott and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! We always try to follow the traditional gift suggestions for each year and this year it was "wood". One of our gifts to each other was this great carved tiki. Thanks to Danny-the-Nanny, we also got to go out to see the Hoodoo Gurus play at the "Mouse of Blues" that night.
The next weekend we packed up all of our Ivy gear, including Danny-the-Nanny again, and headed to the Long Beach Airport where we caught a plane to Las Vegas for our almost-annual trip to the "Viva Las Vegas" Rockabilly weekender.
Ivy did fine on the plane this trip, just the normal constant toddler squirming. We also let her bring her favorite stuffed animal, J.B., along although I was just petrafied the entire trip that she might lose it. (We must find another J.B. soon in case that ever happens or...before he falls apart in the wash!)
More on our Viva weekend in the next blog!
