I can't quite remember exactly what's been happening over the last month except working, Ivy and I recuperating from the stomach flu, and now me with sinus troubles again. Luckily I got called off of work tonight! Yeah!!!!

One big event we fit in though was Scott's band, Seatbelt and the Pecking Order's CD release party. We got a baby sitter and so even I got to go see the band. We all had a great time and for anyone interested, you can purchase the album on CDbaby.com, or you can even download it from iTunes! This isn't a picture of Scott's album, just some record that Ivy and Scott picked up at the antique swapmeet. We all went there today, but had to leave after about only 30 minutes because it was too windy. Dust was getting in our eyes, and the vendor's canopies and goods were blowing over and breaking! We got out of there before something blew over onto poor little Ivy.

Last weekend, I do remember. Scott, Ivy and I all drove to Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs, for a medical conference I attended with my work. Ivy did fairly well all in all. It was difficult to get her to calm down and go to sleep in the hotel room though. It took her butting me in the lip with her head, causing me to bleed for her to finally get that she was out of control. At least she did feel bad and laid down with me after she realized I was hurt. Scott and I also took turns getting massages and our good friend, Dr. Carrie, who delivered Ivy, hung out with us too.

On the way home, we were especially excited to take Ivy to see the famous road-side dinosaurs that Scott and I remembered visiting on road trips with our families when we were young. "Dinny" and "Mr. Rex" were still really cool and Ivy seemed to get a kick out of them. We were having a good time until we went into the belly of Dinny to take a look at the gift shop. I don't think I'd ever been inside because on past trips, it was always too early in the morning and never open yet. We started to browse around for a dinosaur t-shirt for Ivy when we noticed that they all had the phrase "By Design, not chance" printed boldly on each graphic. We looked around a little more and saw a huge "Creationist" book section at the other end. I suddenly felt really claustrophobic and Ivy started to get cranky. Scott and I immediately high tailed it out of there with flames trailing our heels. We were so bummed to find out that one of our favorite road-side attractions is forever tainted. I recently checked out their website
http://www.cabazondinosaurs.com/main.htmand it all confirmed my fears. It is filled with information about how Dinosaurs are only a few thousand years old, and they even were included on Noah's arc. The arc was bigger than I thought!

So for any of you who want to visit these classic dinos, be very careful and stay away from the gift shop!
